Camtasia is quite a bit more powerful than hypercam, and includes many more features.But unlink hypercam, Camtasia is not free.Find more about camtasia at the techsmith web site.

If you are using a slow computer or an analog microphone you might get audio video sync problems when recording.For best results, use a USB headset for the microphone input.

It all depends on the speed of your computer and the size and format of the video file.Even very fast computers will have trouble keeping audio/video sync with very large video files.Heck, even DVD players connected to TVs can have audio video sync on long DVDs.It is not an issue related to Camtasia. It is an issue related to the processing speed, amount of ram, and efficiency of your computer in reading large files, and converting the data to a video/audio stream.

What do you mean, "Long videos will often have audio sync problems when played back on a computer, regardless of how they were created or in what format they were stored."??Then where CAN the videos be played back without having the synchronization issue? Then what's the purpose of camtasia?
