Isn't the word "boring" subjective? A child could derive hours of entertainment from a broken toy most of us wouldn't glance at. Graph users are generally concerned with whether or not a graph provides information useful to them. Whether that information is "boring" is a judgment that may not even be required. A research scholar could be ecstatic over what could look to me like a monkey's scrawls. Maybe you found graphs boring because you never really liked your job in the first place.

What I see is a very funny man making fun of graphs because they are boring. What they illustrate is what makes them interesting--or even more boring. I can't quote the stats on this, but my own experience proves to me, beyond a doubt, that graphs are boring.Thank you, and good morrow to you, sir. |
