It is kind of hard to explain away a statement like that coming from Jesus Himself. The same guy who is preaching mercy for the poor and help for the sick is also saying "bring them here and slay them in my presence." It is one of the most unloving messages you can possibly preach. So don't argue with me then, just continue to feel great affection for Jesus and assume that the opinions of others must be correct. Don't bother to question any of it. Only listen to other Christians. Hide.
