ok this is a little off subject but when i tried to download something rated my i checked my settings it said everything is allowed... and i cant disable family settings ethier because the option is greyed out...HELP!!!

You can buy xbox live gold from the store. I think when you connect to xbox live silver or gold, you'll get a firmware update automatically if you need one. sry guys i hv just got a 360 and don't laugh at me or say im retarted i told i just got the 360 so i was wandering how do you actually get that 1 year xbox live membership you buy from the store or what? or does the 360 itself give you the option to buy the 1 year membership?? and also since i just got the 360 does that mean that the minute i connect to xbox live i have to get a firmware update or its already there? 1 more thing some free game add-ons i can just go to marketplace and download?
